SiteKiosk supports Windows 7 as of version 7.1.

SiteKiosk supports Windows Vista as of version 6.6 (32-Bit) / 7.1 (64-Bit).

SiteKiosk runs optimally on the Windows XP operating system. Installing Internet Explorer 8 and all available Windows Updates is recommended:

Windows Embedded

SiteKiosk supports POSReady 2009, Windows Embedded POSReady 7 and Windows Embedded Standard 7 (Digital Signage Template and Application Compatibility Template).

Windows Terminal Services

The latest version of SiteKiosk can be used with Windows Terminal Services (Windows Server 2003/2008). Some limitations apply: 1. Only the features of the SK Basic Version and the Internet Content Filter are supported 2. Hardware components like proximity protectors and payment devices are not supported 3. Only one log file will be generated on the server for all instances/clients 4. Driver based key combination cannot be managed by SiteKiosk (key combination CTRL-ALT-DEL cannot be disabled) 5. Terminal Services needs to start SiteKiosk; the normal start settings of SiteKiosk cannot be used. Installations require that you follow the instructions by clicking on the 'Info' button below. Please make sure that the password on install meets your network requirements. We recommend testing SiteKiosk on your system before you buy.

SiteKiosk is compatible with Windows Embedded PoS 1.1. Windows Embedded for Point of Service is a version of Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 is optimized to work with retail point-of-service devices (POS).

Windows 2000 is no longer supported as of Version 7.0. SiteKiosk Version 6.6 is compatible with Windows 2000 and available for download

Windows 98/SE/ME is officially supported up to SiteKiosk Version 6.2.51, however, restrictions do apply:

The System Security Wizard included in Version 5.5 or higher, is not available on these operating systems.

SiteRemote cannot be used in combination with Win98/ME, due to issues with dial-up networking in these operating systems.

Windows NT is not officially supported as of SiteKiosk version 6, due to System Security Wizard not being available and lack of USB support on this operating system.

If an alternate operating system is not available, SiteKiosk Version 5.5 can be used as an alternative, but with limited functionality. SiteKiosk Version 5.5 is available for download. Installing all available Windows Updates is recommended:
