Support Request: Open local PDF with Adobe Reader

Description

I am looking for a way to open a PDF file with Adobe Reader using Sitekiosk Online.
Using the PDF element has very limited functionality. We need to be able to search in the PDF file.

Hello,

that is only possible if the server that delivers the PDF is doing it as a downloadable file. If that is the case you had to enable Downloads in the settings of your project. The PDF file that I wish to open with Adobe Reader will be placed locally on the computer.

Hello,

then add an element to your project, e.g. an image, and in the properties go to action and select to start an app and then add the Acrobat Reader and use the parameter field for the path to the PDF you want to open with it.

I got it to work like you said.

Made an image with a action to start app/program.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe

And then to open the PDF document in parameters I put
C:\PDF\testpdffile.pdf

Worked very well.
